The event theme: Providing today’s talent with the skills to build a great tomorrow.We came together with other members and experts from ETF organisation and all over Europe to tackle pressing challenges such as digitalization, climate, labor market shortages. These are the issues of today and we must address them collaboratively. During these two days VET providers, governments and business shared together knowledge on education and skills and face future challenges.Centers of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) are at the forefront of this movement, with the European Commission investing a staggering €400 million in CoVEs. Education and business are joining forces to find solutions to real-life problems, and during the Forum we shared experiences and multiplied knowledge.The Forum 2023 was kicked off with an interactive talk show with Mr. Nicolas Schmit, European Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights, Mr. Robbert Dijkgraaf, Dutch Minister of Education, Culture and Science, Ms. Gaby Allard, member of the executive board of the VET College of Amsterdam and board member of the Dutch association of VET providers, Ms. Rossella Ricco, senior expert on diversity management at GiGroup (part of the GIVE CoVE) and Ms. Anna Rossband of euro apprentice.Last day was dedicated to ETF Network of Excellence (ENE), the green VET initiative, GRETA – Greening Responses to Excellence through Thematic Actions with focus on skills development and support the greening of VET as response to the green and digital transitions.Dr Danijela Manic was invited by the European Training Foundation to represent Aviation Academy at the event, sharing samples of best practices, widening the network of EU cooperation, meeting new partners and the old ones with whom our institution has been developing many projects. She had a fruitful discussion about how to upbring and scale up the existing regional partnership to international one.
