Acquiring status of a part-time student

Status of a part-time student is acquired by enrolling in school every year, under the provisions set by the Law and this law. The part-time student can enrol the relevant grade no later than August 31, unless the proceedings upon request for the protection of student’s right has been made, in which case the enrolment is realized upon the completion of the proceedings. Exceptionally, a regular student in secondary education system who failed to pass a supplementary exam can finish and start the grade in the same school in the course of the next year, as a part-time student, by passing the supplementary exam, with the obligation to pay the fee of actual expenses determined by the School.

Two-profiles education and student’s status

Regular student can complete a study programme for two education profiles, that is, the student can complete a part of the study programme for another education profile as a part-time student with the obligation to pay the fee of the actual expenses.

Additional exams

Person who enrols in school for the purpose of vocational retraining shall pass the expert subject exams determined by the board of the members of the School Teachers Council appointed by the Director’s decision. Person who enrols in school for the purpose of acquiring qualifications shall pass additional exams in subjects with syllabus that differ in large extent, in exams that have not been part of the study programme, that is the curriculum, and exams in the final grade. This decision is made by the board of the members of the School Teachers Council appointed by the Director’s decision.

Tuition fee

The amount of tuition fee is determined by the Ministry according to types of education, with the exception of certain part-time students, persons older than 17 years, that may be free of tuition for the purpose of meeting full equality in the process of acquiring education.
