European Alliance for Apprenticeships (EafA) – Seminar for EafA partnership countries, 13-14th of October 2022, Belgrade, Serbia

Aviation Academy participated in seminar for EafA partner countries held from 13th to 14th of October, Belgrade, Serbia. This seminar is jointly organized event of the European Commission (Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion), of the European Training Foundation and Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia. Main objective of the seminar is to enable learning between partner countries and EafA members: governments, enterprises, social partners, chambers, VET providers, youth representatives from various regions.

European Alliance for Apprenticeships is a platform managed by the European Commission in close cooperation with EU social partners connecting governments and other key players (business alliances, single companies, social partners, chambers, VET providers, regions, youth representatives and expert organisations). Mutual objective is quality, supply, image and mobility improvement regarding apprenticeships in Europe. EafA has so far invoked not only EU members to participate in quality apprenticeships, but it has also been gradually starting to cooperate with candidate countries- Albania, North Macedonia, Serbia and Turkey as well as southern and eastern neighbouring partner countries (Georgia, Israel and Moldavia).


The seminar had following objectives:

· sharing the experience of Serbia regarding programme of efficient learning/ work-based apprenticeships;

· deeper understanding of challenges and possibilities in development and implementation of apprenticeships;

· learning from EafA good practices and examples;

· studying possibilities of making closer connections between partner countries and EAfA;

· inspecting development in EU goal achievement for work-based learning (Os nabrück declaration, 2020).

The seminar participants had a chance to visit the Aviation Academy and learn about successes, challenges and most recent events related to work-based learning at the Aviation Academy and companies that cooperate with it on this matter, as well as about support that the Academy receives from the Dual Education Sector of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia.
